Computerized Vehicle Diagnostics

It's not just a guessing game.

The bottom line when it comes to state-of-the-art computer diagnostics is this: a computer is only as good as the technician who operates it. Today's "check engine" light might indicate many, many types of problems and issues, from the simple to the serious.

Today's vehicle has numerous on-board computers. While you're cruising down the road in your high-tech driving machine, you may not be aware of the 20 to 40 on-board computers that are all making thousands of decisions per second so you can experience some of the finest, ultimate driving conditions possible.

It takes technology to accurately diagnose, repair, and service all of the latest technological advances prevalent in today's high-tech automobiles. When combined with our experienced ASE Certified technicians, you receive expert diagnostic analyses on your vehicle, which will save you both time and money.

Without obtaining all the current technology to diagnose high-tech vehicles, it’s just a guessing game. We believe our customers deserve more.  Our commitment is to provide the best level of service and repairs that is possible today.

Transmission Fluid Flush Service

Every 3 Years or 30,000 Miles

Why is this service important?

Your vehicle's automatic transmission system is designed to transfer power from the engine to the wheels at a consistent level. Transmission fluid is subject to tremendous amounts of heat and wear and it fails over time as the viscosity changes. Scheduled transmission fluid flushing replaces the friction modifiers of transmission fluid, which are depleted over time, lengthens the life of the seals and clutches, removes the worn clutch material that forms over time & flushes the transmission cooler, torque converter and valve body.

How often should I have my transmission fluid flushed?

Every 3 years or 30,000 miles. The service interval we recommend is moderate, and based on our observations of thousands of vehicles over the years.

Cooling System Fluid Flush Service

How often should you have your cooling system flushed?

Mobile Collision Rebuild & Service recommends that you flush your cooling system fluid every 3 years or 30,000 miles.

When we perform a cooling system flush, we test the coolant’s pH, reserve, alkalinity, and protection levels.  Having your cooling system fluid flush every 30,000 miles will help ensure that it lives a long and healthy life, safeguards that your coolant’s pH, reserve, alkalinity, and protection levels do not drop below acceptable levels, and provides your engine with optimal protection.  We get you back on the road quickly and economically with our value pricing and swift servicing.

Why is this service important?

Your vehicle's cooling system is designed to cool internal engine components, prevent engine coolant freeze, lubricate water pump seals and bearings, and prevent internal engine corrosion. Scheduled cooling system flushes replenish lubricants for the water pump bearings, reduce corrosion and oxidation of sensitive seals in your engine, provide optimum boil and freeze protection, and prevent coolant foaming will lead to severe cooling system damage.

If this important service is not done at least every 3 years or 30,000 miles, you may experience damage to the water pump, corrosion and leaks in the radiator or heater core, head gasket leaks, and, eventually, complete engine failure.

Fuel Injection & System Cleaning

How often should you perform a fuel injection and system cleaning?

Modern Collision Rebuild recommends that a fuel system cleaning be performed every 60,000 miles to achieve the highest fuel system efficiency.

Why is this service important?

Modern Collision Rebuild & Service’s fuel injection flush system is a self-contained cleaning and diagnostic system designed to connect to any gasoline engine. Once the unit is connected, it temporarily replaces the regular fuel supply with a mixture of gasoline and the specially formulated CarbonClean MV3 Internal Detergent. With the engine idling, the unit pumps the gasoline/detergent mixture through the engine's fuel system. As the mixture passes through the fuel loop, it loosens and dissolves accumulated deposits, which then pass harmlessly out through the exhaust system or are removed by the unit's fuel filter.

Removing contaminants from the combustion chamber creates a more even fuel burn, which improves horsepower, increases fuel economy, and reduces exhaust emissions.

Power Steering Fluid Flush Service

How often should you have your power steering system flushed?

Modern Collision Rebuild & Service recommends that you have your power steering system flushed every 3 years or 30,000 miles.

Our recommended interval for power steering system flushes is moderate, and is based on our observations of thousands of vehicles over the years.  Having a power steering fluid flush every 30,000 miles will help to ensure that your power steering provides you with reliable and safe steering you can depend on.

Why is this service important?

Your vehicle's power steering system fluids provide lubrication, cooling, and protection for the parts they surround.  Scheduled power steering fluid flushing replenishes the additive package in the fluid that is depleted over time, lengthens the life of the seals and internal components of the system, removes the contaminants that wear the rack/steering box and pump, and helps to reduce wear on the gears and shafts.

If a power steering system flush service is not done every 3 years or 30,000 miles, you may experience fluid leaks, a loss of steering assist (which can cause an accident if it occurs without warning), shortened power steering pump life, and/or steering gear failure.

Brake Fluid Flush Service

How often should you have your brake fluid flushed?

We recommend that you have your vehicle’s brake fluid flushed every 3 years or 30,000 miles.

Modern Collision Rebuild tests the brake fluid on every visit, and when contamination becomes a problem, we recommend a brake fluid flush.  Having a brake fluid flush every 30,000 miles will help to maintain your braking system, and will assist in providing you with optimum braking power, reliability, and safety.

Why is this service important?

Your vehicle's brake fluid system is designed to transfer the pressure at the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure, which is used to compress the brake components.  Scheduled brake fluid flushing assures that your brake fluid will not fail.  Brake fluid absorbs moisture, which destroys expensive parts and may also cause the brake fluid to boil at a lower temperature, and subsequently affect braking.  A brake fluid flush removes corrosive metals from the brake system and is much less expensive to change than to have to replace some very expensive parts later.

If a brake fluid flush is not done every 3 years or 30,000 miles, you may experience a dangerous increase in stopping distance failure of the ABS control assemblies, failure of the master cylinder caliper piston failure, disc brake pad and rotor damage from overheating, premature wear on the brake pads, or possible brake failure.

Factory Scheduled Maintenance Services

Maintenance is the key to extending your vehicle’s life and maximizing its performance.

Modern Collision Rebuild & Service recommends regularly scheduled, preventive maintenance in order to keep your vehicle running efficiently, reliably, and safely.

Without regular maintenance, your vehicle's life is shortened.  In addition, your automobile can become prone to costly problems and issues that could have been easily prevented.  Most new vehicle warranties require that the vehicle is regularly maintained, or else the warranty will be rendered void.

Our Technicians are trained and certified to provide all factory-recommended services and new vehicle warranty maintenance, and will do everything your dealer does during scheduled maintenance service intervals.

Every vehicle requires different types of maintenance at each scheduled interval, and Modern Collision Rebuild understands the specifics of your vehicle’s manufacturer requirements.

Preventive Maintenance Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive safety inspection
  • Lube, oil, and filter changes (recommended every 3 months/3,000 miles with standard oil, and 6 months/6,000 miles for synthetic)
  • Cooling system flush
  • Brake system check and brake fluid flush
  • Transmission service and transmission fluid flush
  • Tires are inspected for wear, air pressure, and rotated if necessary
  • Battery service
  • Belts and hoses inspected for wear and tear
  • Air filters inspected and replaced if necessary
  • Wiper blades checked and replaced if necessary

We can perform scheduled maintenance inspection services and stamping of service manuals so that warranties remain valid. Don't be fooled by dealerships that tell you that the vehicle must be returned to them for all service and inspections in order to keep a valid warranty.

Pre-Purchase Inspections

Purchasing a used vehicle can be risky. It is not uncommon for excited buyers get caught up in the vehicle purchasing process, and occasionally miss mechanical, cosmetic, and safety issues during visual inspections and test drives. These problems are compounded if the vehicle is located in another city and is purchased prior to being seen in person.

To eliminate much of the anxiety, and to get an accurate picture of the condition of the vehicle, Modern Collision Rebuild offers pre-purchase inspections (PPIs) for buyers looking to assess their vehicle before the sale is final.  Essentially, a PPI is a detailed assessment by a qualified individual, usually a certified mechanic or automotive technician knowledgeable in the make and model of the vehicle, to determine the cosmetic, mechanical, and safety condition of a vehicle before completing the purchase.  This type of inspection can uncover existing conditions or reveal maintenance shortcomings that may potentially become future safety or financial issues for the buyer.

Modern Collision Rebuild & Service is the headquarters for all your exhaust system needs. We are fully equipped to replace your worn out exhaust.

Rental Cars

We have nearly 20 vehicles available for our valued customers, or their out-of-town guests, to rent. All of our rental cars are 4-doors automatics, and range from sedans and station wagons to vans and a small flatbed pickup. We have different rates depending on your needs, and only we require that you have a valid driver’s license, current full coverage insurance, and a major credit card.

While your vehicle is in the shop for repairs, we will discount the cost of a rental car.

Expert Alignment & Suspension Services

We keep your vehicle running safely and smoothly.

Your vehicle's suspension system is dual purpose:

  1. It contributes to the vehicle's handling and braking for good active safety and driving pleasure.
  2. It keeps vehicle occupants, and their cargo, comfortable and reasonably well-isolated from road noise, bumps and vibrations.

Since these two goals are generally at odds, the tuning of suspensions involves finding the right balance. Proper alignment geometry will extend tire life and the life of your vehicle's steering and suspension systems.  Alignment problems even affect fuel economy!

Due to the wide variety of front and rear suspension systems, the cost of alignment varies greatly, depending on the type of alignment needed.  An additional cost factor is whether or not it requires special shims or parts to bring the alignment back to its original specifications.

Modern Collision Rebuild can help you eliminate the worry when it comes to your suspension system. Our ASE Certified technicians use the latest technology and equipment to get your vehicle running smoothly and safely!

We can provide the following suspension services:

  • Diagnostics
  • Shocks & struts
  • Ball joints
  • Leaf springs
  • Coil springs
  • King pins
  • Control arms
  • Driving axles
  • Air ride systems
  • Steering racks
  • Suspension bushing replacements
  • Pitman arm
