Do you like being ripped off? Then this is the place for you! My car was hit in the Safeway parking lot. I filed a claim through my insurance company and they sent an assignment to Modern. I went and got an estimate. It was roughly $2,000 just to replace a bumper. I felt uneasy about the estimate and went to Jerry's Auto Rebuild for a second opinion. That is when I found out how Modern was trying to rip me off! 1. They were charging for painting on a bumper that comes painted from Volvo. 2. They charged extra for a piece on the bumper that is included with the bumper from Volvo. 3. They charged labor to remove and reinstall park assist sensors on the front of my car...then said at the bottom of the estimate that I do not have front park assist. Overall, I am very displease and upset that Modern tried to take advantage of me. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to Jerry's Auto and saved $600. Update: the owner called and tried to defend the estimate given to me as a "mistake done by a new employee". I am aware that could be the case, however, if this was not caught I could have been out more money for parts that don't exist on my vehicle. We will never know if the mistake would have been corrected. I am happy I took my business elsewhere rather than take that chance.
